Where the innate beauty of pure matter inspires our vision on collectible design - preceding form and function, and celebrating every texture, color, and natural imperfection.
Nature is an abundant reservoir of resources, yet we often exploit it unconsciously, without pausing to recognize the extraordinary beauty inherent in its rawest, most authentic form.
Our approach to both architecture and collectible design is rooted in deep observation of the natural world that surrounds us. Textures, colors, and natural elements are not merely aesthetic choices but fundamental components that shape our creative process. Rather than erasing imperfections through mechanical manipulation, we embrace the matter as the heart of the project, celebrating its essence, letting it guide our designs. Just as architecture responds to its surrounding context, design embodies the essence of the matter—allowing it to shape both form and function.
Stone quarrying is an ancient human activity that dates back thousands of years. Early civilizations recognized its value due to its natural luster, brightness, and unique mineral impurities. These qualities continue to make it one of the most sought-after materials today.
Our research begins at the source—we visit quarries to carefully select blocks with the potential to be transformed into remarkable objects. Once extracted, the stone undergoes cutting and processing. During production, we refine every technical and finishing detail to align with the design vision. However, the final touches are often shaped by the stone’s response to processing, revealing characteristics that cannot always be predicted in the design phase.
INHUMAN
MILANO DESIGN WEEK
April 7-13 | Via Solferino, Milano
We see stone, but do we feel it?
We use it, but do we understand it?
As we lose our tactile connection to elemental materials, we also lose a deep appreciation for the natural world that surrounds us, with its extraordinary beauty and intricate complexity.
This exhibit aims to restore humanity and consciousness to these materials. It is an invitation to look again, to recognise the endless potential of stone, as well as the depth and raw power embedded in every piece. It is a call to restore awareness, to feel the weight of time in our hands, and to reconnect with the beauty of what is real.
An ancient entity of eternal life, awakened and blessed by light in its unique form. A tender ray unveils its true essence and shapes its eternal core, honoured by reverent craftsmanship that does not alter, but rather exalts its ageless soul.
In rediscovering stone, we rediscover something greater: a lost intimacy with nature, a deeper reverence for the world that holds us.
Beyond function and form, beyond trends and imitations, stone remains.
And in its presence, so do we.
